What's The 411 General Editorial Policies

WhatsThe411.com is the companion website to its award-winning entertainment and lifestyle news and information television show, What’s The 411. Not all of the content from the television show will appear on the WhatsThe411.com, and vice versa. What's The 411 Networks' editorial policy is to serve as a guideline to our readers, talent, and writers.

How We Select Stories to Cover

What’s The 411’s primary editorial focus for its website, TV, and podcast is entertainment and lifestyle, which includes film, fashion, TV, theatre, music, books, authors, health and wellness, beauty, tech, money and business, travel, relationships, cars, food and dining, college, and pertinent global stories.

We select stories within these sectors that match the interests of our audience, which is primarily sophisticated, multi-cultural college-educated young women, who are tech savvy and trendsetting. She cares about her health and wellness; physical appearance; the environment; watches movies and goes to the theatre; and loves to read and may be in a book club. She also loves to travel alone or with friends; enjoys a variety of dining experiences both inside and outside of the home including adult beverages; a good party; and oh, yeah, experiences to improve her career.

With this focus in mind, we write about, cover events, partner with, and interview people that can provide news and information that will be meaningful to the What’s The 411 audience.
